Delegation of German Industry and Commerce Beijing (AHKB)
AHKB is the lead partner of the project consortium and works closely with European and Chinese partners in the implementation of this project. As the official representation of the German industry and commerce and a member of the worldwide German Chamber Network, AHKB promotes bilateral business relations and offers its experience, connections and a wide range of services to German and local companies in China in order to foster business activities.
Supported by German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce Beijing has established itself as a proficient platform in the environmental field over the past years. For instance AHKB launched a series of initiatives in the area of energy efficiency, renewable energies and clean development mechanism (CDM) in order to contribute to the environment protection efforts in China and to facilitate the establishment of business partnerships.
China National Institute of Standardisation (CNIS)
CNIS is a research body at state level directly subordinate to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) and is the only comprehensive standardisation research base in China. CNIS is mainly responsible for standardisation research and development of national standards in fields including energy and water conservation, new and renewable energy, environmental management and products.

China Standard Certification Center (CSC)
CSC was jointly founded by the former China State Economy and Trade Commission and AQSIQ in October 1998 as a third-party authoritative certification agency for managing the national Energy Efficiency Product labeling program in China. Under the leadership of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), CSC is committed to sustainable development by promoting energy efficient and environmentally friendly products while providing relevant Chinese stakeholders with technical assistance in the areas of energy efficiency and environmental protection.
CIE is a non-governmental academic organisation subordinate to MIIT. CIE has more than 100,000 private members and over 600 member organizations, and has established local sub-institutes in 30 regions of China. CIE is dedicated to promoting academic and technical exchange between China and abroad, organizing trainings as well as fostering the uptake of electronic and information technologies.
Deutsche Telekom AG is a leading telecommunications and information technology service company regularly listed at the top of sustainability ratings on environmental standards and corporate social responsibility. It will act as an associate to the project consortium and contribute its international expertise and experience with suppliers to foster high social and environmental practices throughout the entire value chain.
Deutsche Telekom previously provided expert advice to the Global e-Sustainability Initiative (GeSI) supported by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and thereby already contributed to the sustainable improvement of social and environmental conditions within the Chinese information and communication technology sector.
