The event gathered representatives from all 15 SWITCH-Asia programme funded projects, representatives from the EC headquarters in Brussels and its Delegations in Asia, as well as representatives of stakeholders and networks in the field of sustainable consumption and production (SCP) in Asia and Europe.
The Networking Event included keynote presentations and working sessions on topics related to SCP. In particular, challenges for advancing SCP in Asia were identified and the role of SWITCH-Asia and replicating actions in the field of SCP was discussed. The event allowed participants to share knowledge and experiences on project implementation and management with specific focus on enhancing project and programme impacts in promoting SCP in Asia. Specifically, this included group discussions on key concerns regarding project implementation, as well as the development of reliable indicators on the project and programme level.
Importantly, the event has fostered networking and synergies among stakeholders of the SWITCH-Asia programme, thereby facilitating potential future collaborations. For instance, some other SWITCH-Projects also focus on SMEs in the electrical and electronics sector and apply a comparable supply chain management approach. Links with other projects will be explored further in order to strengthen the SWITCH network and share experiences from other countries and projects.
